Experiencing Zoom eye fatigue? Here’s a tip below:

Telehealth is a way to connect when things like COVID-19, a sick child, or a move make it difficult for us to meet in person.

I take a few extra steps to make sure we have a good connection:

  • I have an ethernet connection and use chords instead of wireless wherever possible to strengthen our connection and avoid delays.

  • I use a video-conferencing microphone that helps you in hearing me.

  • I have a headset nearby if I’m having trouble hearing you.

  • I keep my television monitor, which is large, at eye-level so I feel like you’re sitting across from me. This helps me see, hear, and be more present with you.

I have and will continue to enroll in webinars, online training, and telehealth courses/groups so that we can get as close to the in-person connection as possible. These courses have also taught me to use the Zoom platform to enhance our experience in ways we couldn’t do in an in-person, therapy session.
